Focus Konstruksjon 3D is a FEM analytical program for Microsoft Windows that calculates any structure, be it simple or complex using finite element methods.
This program has a simple and easy to learn built in workflow that makes it easy to use out of the box. You can build anything from a simple beam to more complexed builds, all in 2D or 3D. Use any material, steel, wood, or concrete, and run a full global analysis of the structure using the Eurocodes with national annexes for Norway, Sweden or United Kingdom.

About Focus Konstruksjon 3D
Focus Konstruksjon 3D consists of a basic module that you can supplement with four different additional modules according to your needs; Steel, Wood, Concrete and Dynamics.
When you have Focus Konstruksjon 3D, you have access to both the 2D and 3D versions of the program. The ability to model shells is only available in 3D.

Model
A structure can be modelled with straight beam or bar segments, curved beam segments and shells. The bar segments can take either tension, compression or both. All segments can have linearly variable cross-sections and can be retrieved from the extensive profile database in the program. In addition, you can define your own cross-sections as needed. Shells, such as slabs and plates, are available in Focus Konstruksjon 3D and can be modelled with concrete, steel and wood (CLT or Kerto) as material.
Focus Konstruksjon 3D handles most layouts, even if these are rotated, and different types of joints and springs. Line edge conditions and surface edge conditions may also contain springs. This makes it easy to model stiffness against the ground and the like. The program also handles eccentricities.
Focus Konstruksjon has a library of wizards to set out e.g. walls, columns, beam system, trusses, trusses, frames and floor frames.
Load arrangements
Loads combinations are built up quickly and easily by load cases. These can contain distributed loads such as line loads and surface loads, concentrated loads, prescribed displacements, moments, temperature loads and initial strains.
If you want to calculate snow loads or wind loads, these can be set out using wizards that generate the loads according to EN 1991-1-3 and EN 1991-1-4, respectively. The program also has a very useful wizard for generating load combinations according to EN 1990.
Types of analyses
There are several analysis types available in Focus Konstruksjon 3D as static analyses based on both linear and non-linear theory, buckling analysis, influence line analysis and load train analysis.
The results are displayed graphically for moments, forces, displacements and buckling modes. You can easily get exact values for moment, force and displacement.
Documentation
The program makes it easy to document your calculations and you can create custom reports using print templates. It also comes with ready-made templates that make it easy to create the reports you need. You can either define your own or modify one of the existing templates. This way, you are guaranteed to document exactly what you want.

Dynamikk 3D
In the Dynamics module, you can perform earthquake analyses in accordance with Eurocode 8, and in addition you can find the vibration modes of the structure and at what frequencies these occur. The dynamics module contains two different dynamic analyses; a vibration analysis and a response spectrum analysis.
